So I keep hearing about this dog IQ test, and while I was looking at a link for it, I came across the list of dog breeds ranked by intelligence. Sydney's breed is 44th, while Izzy is 70th. I find it hard to believe that shih-tzu's fall 70th (out of only 79 breeds) when it comes to intelligence. But apparently there are two other kinds of intelligence, and this is only the Working / Obedience Intelligence. The Adaptive and Instinctive Intelligence are dog-specific. And also I might go home today and give my dogs the Pooch IQ test. I also came across an article on how to measure your dog's worth. While it was depressing (because it was mostly for people whose dogs died due to the pet food contamination), it was kind of funny. To add up how much we have spent on our dogs, well it would set up a nice retirement fun for us. Also pay for a nice vacation. But I love my dogs. But they asked questions like are your dogs provided for in a will (totally). Our dogs have their own budget category. Apparently in Tennessee there is a law that says pet owners can seek up to $5000 for emotional distress (due to the death of a pet...for example, if your vet is negligent and causes the animal to die, or whatever). And then the story talked about animal law, and how there are schools offering classes on it and lawyers focusing on it, trying to build on and find precedents (precendence?). How awesome would it be to be an animal lawyer? Actually, now that I think about it, it wouldn't be cool. Because then you would be representing people whose animals had died. So never mind. And scratch the IQ test, because apparently you have to buy the thing. How stupid.

Anyway, I haven't posted in a while because I've been in Mobile. I got back Wednesday afternoon, and yesterday work was crazy. But I guess that's a good thing. Our guys and girls both won their conference tournaments so they're going to the NCAA for the first time since 2003. I'm hoping that it's somewhere close so Nick and I can drive it it one day, since Nick can't miss a day of work. His work sucks as far as vacation days and sick days. And although Mobile was great (with my dad), I'd prefer to stay at home and watch it with him than go with my parents. Nick is more fun to watch basketball with, especially WKU, because we think alike. My dad was very negative the whole time, and it made me mad. Hello, we won all three games by double figures. And the women beat MTSU by almost 15, which is awesome considering they have beat us in every important game we've played them in for the past 4 years. And mostly I missed Nick (and my dogs!), being gone for 5 days. It was weird to go to or watch every game with him, and then not get to experience them finally winning the tournament together. I love March! Basketball is on all day (and one of the good things about my job is that I can totally turn on the tv and watch it)! And as soon as March Madness is over, baseball is starting.
