Being an Adult

Being an adult is no fun. Yesterday Nick and I signed our wills and Powers of Attorney and all that. I had been wanting to get them done for a while, so I'm relieved to have it out of the way. It's not a huge deal for us, since if I die, obviously he gets my stuff. And there's not much of it. But at least we've made things as easy as possible just in case something should happen. So many people don't have a will, and it's really pretty simple. I actually know people who have kids (young kids) and don't have a will. I'll be dragging Nick to the lawyer's office months before our kid is born to get that done. What if something happens and no one knows who you want your child's guardian to be? Or what if they know, but they don't necessarily agree, and it's not in writing? But I'm really anal about planning this sort of thing out. And also, my dad can do our's, so I don't have to pay for it.

Also, as a side note, I'm listening to Dave Ramsey, and this one guy owes almost $100,000 dollars. He makes $10.00 an hour at his job (but has never actually taken the time to figure out how much money he makes per year) and his wife doesn't work (they don't have kids...she just doesn't work). He wants to know what they should do?
