Fab 5 Friday

Yay, I'm actually doing it on time this week!

1.  Bare Escentuals Mineral Veil - I just ordered this and I love it.  I've tried many different kinds of foundations, tinted moisturizers, etc., but they all make my face break out.  I also ordered a mineral tinted moisturizer (Jane Iredale), but I haven't tried it yet.  So far, I've just used the mineral veil by itself.  No break outs and it looks halfway decent!

2.  Jon Scheyer - I love my Blue Devils.  Nick's whole family is all about UK, so I'll have a fun time at family get-togethers this year!  Jon Scheyer was my favorite player this year.

3.  Rain - Ha, this one is kind of silly.  It's been so sunny and warm lately.  Which is great and all, but terrible for the allergies (and also this bug hater, because the wasps have been crazy around here).  Emma has been crazy irritable lately, but yesterday she was so good.  The rain helped her allergies a lot.  Unfortunately, there's no more rain in the forecast for the next 7 days.  Something you will not see on this list:  Claritin.  It's doing nothing for her.

4.  Munchkin Sippy Cup - We love this cup (by we, I mean the only one who matters, Emma).  I've had a hard time getting her to drink from other sippy cups.  BUT...we have successfully transitioned all of her liquid feedings to these cups!  I have put away the Dr. Browns, and rediscovered the section of my counter that had been covered with the bottle rack.

5.  PBS Kids - I do attempt to be a good mother by limiting Emma's tv time.  I've gotten a lot better at not leaving the tv on all day long, because that's supposed to be terrible for kids or something.  Although when I was growing up, I don't ever remember being home without the tv on, and I think my vocab is just fine.  But, we do have tv time in the morning.  We watch Sesame Street, and occasionally Curious George.  I've yet to let her watch Barney, but mostly because I HATE that stupid purple dinosaur.  My sister used to watch it all.the.time and I have never recovered.  However, Emma loves the Barney commercials, so I might have to give in someday.  Or not.  I do like PBS, because I don't feel so incredibly guilty for letting Emma watch it.  And their website has some fun Elmo videos and activities.
